Applications for Round 2 of the Commonwealth Teaching Scholarships Program are now open.

The scholarship provides up to $40,000 to new undergraduate teaching students and up to $20,000 to new postgraduate teaching students. Recipients must study full-time.
In exchange, recipients will be required to teach in government schools or government-run early learning settings in Australia after they graduate.
To be eligible for a scholarship, you must be living in Australia and:
- be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident, a holder of a permanent humanitarian visa, or a New Zealand citizen
- intend to commence an accredited teaching degree in the first semester or first study period of 2025
- study full-time for the duration of your degree
- commit to teaching in a government school or government-run early learning setting in Australia after you graduate.

Please note, for those finishing Year 12, you must wait until you have your official ATAR or International Baccalaureate results before you apply.
Applications close on Monday 13 January 2025, at 5:00pm AEDT and no late applications will be accepted.
